and Lomotil:
Dosage
Adults: 2 tabs. At the start followed by 1-2
tab. 6-8 hourly, SOS
Children: Not recommended
Contraindications
Acute infective Diarrhoea, irritable bowel disease,
ulcerative colitis and diverticulosisKnown hypersensitivity
Special Precaution
Hepatic disease
Adverse Drug Reactions
Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort
rarely has caused respiratory depression, toxic
mega colon and paralytic ileus in children
Status in
1. Pregnancy : Contraindicated
2. Lactation : Use with caution
3. Old age : Use with caution
4. Children : Not recommended below 6yrs of
age
