Our diet is deficient in many vitamins and minerals. Additional vitamins are required for child growth, during pregnancy, diabetes and chronic illnesses, and for the elderly population. If vitamins and minerals are not given during high-demand stages, it leads to nutritional vitamin deficiency.
The doctor can ask a patient to modify their dietary habits. If that fails, multivitamin and mineral supplements are given. B-complex vitamins and Vitamin A, D, E, and K are needed for normal functioning of vital organs.
